I can't help this feeling that there seems to be quite a lot of it going on here, unfortunately. Please tell me I am wrong.

RHP is a microcosm: Love, hate, spite, praise, help, hurt, aggression, indifference. Such is life. 🙂 😠 😕

Well actually, not with me either. My jealousy is restricted to the man I love and that is already too hard to handle, work on myself every single second to get rid of it. Am pleased to say that I succeed, slowly. 🙂

It is interesting to note how one transports his/her own self into the virtual world. One would think that by being virtual, it should be ideal. But no, human beings are what they are, regardless.

Not entirely. I think some people use Internet forums to parade their inner selves,
hidden aspects of their personality they wouldn't dare show otherwise.

I'll bet you get many more complimentary comments than abusive ones. Here's one: You're a great person!

If you ask anyone that knows me IRL they will tell you I am much nicer online that in person. In person I have (usually) a huge size advantage, not to mention years of martial arts training. I am always confident and I never take any guff off of anyone besides law officers, who I get along with very well and I'm liked by most of those folks. Online I realize I can't grab a person and choke them into unconsciousness. Dammit.

But soon there'll be an app for that.

There is something called the Online Disinhibition Effect

http://truecenterpublishing.com/psycyber/disinhibit.html

Factors:

You Don't Know Me (dissociative anonymity)

You Can't See Me (invisibility)

See You Later (asynchronicity)

It's All in My Head (solipsistic introjection)

It's Just a Game (dissociative imagination)

We're Equals (minimizing authority)

Personality Variables
