4 balls, 4 rings, 3 clubs. The best I have managed with 5 balls was to throw them all twice, and maybe even end up with one or two balls in my hands, but that's only when I am very lucky... 😕 I used to be able to do quite a lot of tricks with three balls, but lately I haven't been practicing at all, and it would take some serious practice to be able to do ...[text shortened]... ncing balls, but that's very noisy, so I can only practice that when my neighbours are away. 😉
Wow Everyone! - we could all start the RHP travelling circus 🙂

Always avoided Unicycle, Stilts etc myself as not keen on heights!

Forgot to mention passing and stealing - anyone else mastered the 3-3-10?

I used to take balls out of my friends pattern and put them back in elsewhere which looked pretty cool.

Nordlys - I think Maschinenmann is what I'd call 'The Machine' A neat trick, especially when you can do it in the style of robotic dancing - it really adds to the machine effect (not mastered that bit myself though!)

Starrman - can you explain dummy switch/hand reflection? I'm struggling to picture it but they sound interesting - a new challenge!

I have always been pretty bad at passing. I think my unability to use both eyes together in a meaningful way really is a problem here, it's difficult for me to see exactly how far away the clubs are. But I haven't had the opportunity to practice much with a partner either. Stealing is fun (please don't quote this out of context 😉 ). There are many variations of this, for example walking around each other, taking over the balls when you walk to the front.

Thanks, that's it. I found it here, with a video: http://www.jcpsystems.com/juggling/Juggling%20Tricks.htm
It doesn't look very machine- or robotlike there, though. I do it with my palm (of the hand which is carrying) down and with jerky movements and straight lines (or at least I try to). There are also some variations of this trick. In one variation, the carrying hand doesn't go down, only from left to right and back, so the dropping of the carried ball happens faster. There's also a version where you again double the tempo, but I have never quite managed that. And there's one variation where you switch sides. That's pretty cool, too. I don't think I could do it now, but it should come back with some practice.

Passing - I never learnt with clubs, just balls - not so impressive!

Machine - that's the one. I am palm down too - I think it's better that way as it allows you to keep the carrying arms elbow out of the middle of the pattern (see video - looks ugly that way!)

Variations sound good. I'll have to keep them in mind when next I'm playing with my balls 😀 (I really tried to resist that one honest!!) 😞

Clubs sure look more impressive, but if I have a good partner, I think I may even do better with clubs than with balls because they are easier to see and catch. If I have a partner who doesn't quite have the feeling for the spin yet and the clubs arrive in an arbitrary position, it's a different matter...

So who here juggles?

Balls: 4, Clubs: 3 (gingerly - as I don't own any so it is rare I get to try), Diablo: 1, Devilstick: 1, Spinning plates

Style: Trickster - fave tricks 'Mills Mess' & 'Georgian Shuffle'

I'm hoping to pick up a fire devilstick soon, this is my favourite one at the moment.

🙂
I can do the basic 3 balls, but that's it.

How do you do it? With your horns?

As good a place to start as any. Can you do two in one hand?

I *was* that partner with someone I had just met at a festival this summer. Aswell as being unable to spin the clubs to pass them (and dropping them frequently) at one point (a bit drunk) I launched a club at her to start the passing pattern without seeing if she was ready. I can only thank her parents for giving her very good reactions, otherwise it would have been a hospital job!

Bad boy. 😉

Blame the Milkman 😉
