i've got quite an unusual e-mail address so i've never had a problem with spam. However, the other week i started getting these e-mails with headings that all start "SEXUALYuEXPLICIT:.....". i've taken to just deleting them as i can't label them as spam because they're never from the same e-mail address. today though i decided to open one and see if i could do something to stop them. it said i could unsubscribe (i never subscribed, but hey ho...), so i clicked in the link. it appologised for the inconvenience, then it asked me to enter my e-mail address.

should i enter my e-mail address? or am i just going to get more spam? i started a random e-mail address at yahoo and gave it that e-mail address to see if it'll get spam. if it doesn't, what should i do? should i give them my e-mail address? gah! spammers suck!

Silly question?

If you put in your email address, they know they've delivered to a valid address, so you'll get more spam.

I suggest you put someone elses email address in. Try something like zanthos@hotmail.com or similar 😉

Never! Never click on *any* link in spam mail.
Never give your e-mail address to other.
And don't trust "serious" companies on the web too. In fact, altho they may be honest, I found that his employees sometimes aren't, and are well disposed to sell your e-mail address to spammers for cents.
Only a few companies on the web are commited to mantain a rigid control on their users databases.

Cheers.

What are you using for email? Hotmail, Yahoo,Gmail, Outlook [Express]
Whichever if you mark it as spam it goes to your spam/bulk folder so you are usually better off blocking each email address completely.
