Then ask yourself repeatedly and fast,

Toy boat or troy boat?

pusillanimous, adjective: lacking in courage and manly strength and resolution; contemptibly fearful

http://www.onelook.com/?w=pusillanimous&ls=a

contemptibly fearful: i never new that fearful people caused contempt.

perhaps it is a mirror of the contempt felt by those of those "lacking in courage and manly strength and resolution" for those who think that "courage and manly strength" are admirable and desirable features.

anyhow thanks for the word, I now have a new self descriptor minus the fearfulness though.
do you have a word that is just "lacking in courage and manly strength and resolution" without the attached fearfulness. and of course you could add in contempt of those showing "courage and manly strength and resolution"
