As of this post I've been awake for 32 hrs. But now I can't sleep.
Whats the longest you've ever forced yourself to stay awake and why?
My reason is that I worked a 12 hr shift on monday and finished at midnight. Tues is my day off So I got home and stayed up, so when I go back to my usual shift(midnight to 8am) I won't be tired. I tried laying down but just couldn't sleep. So now I got to try to stay awake till at least 8am wed. For a total of 48 hours.
The Americans used to send bomb boats (ships) to uk we stored the bombs and I used to work on the little boats that took the bombs of the mother ship we would work for days and nights grabing one or two hours sleep hear and there, I have remained awake for about 4 or 5 days and nights with no sleep
One of the American ships was called the Challenger I used to get booze and smokes cheap off the yanks 😴
longest shift i worked was when i went into do my standard 1400-2200 hour shift and the last flight in got delayed due to fog so it diverted to another airport where the passengers had to be coached up to the airport so got home at 0600 the following morning, showered and went back to start work at 0800-1600,managed til about 1400 then gave in and went to bed.
