Just a survey. Who do you think would win if they were to play each other in their prime.
What was Fischer rated at his prime?
As a note, I don't like BF.... so that's my vote for Kasparov.

fischer went GM at 16-6 years younger than kasparov, and only lost the WC title through default to karpov.
also-is kasparov the greatest chess player just now? didn't judit polgar beat him last year when he played the berlin defence against her or something? in, like, amsterdam or somewhere...and didn't he lose the world title but is still the highest rated player or smething?
I believe in equal 21 game matches:
If they played in 1972 (1972 chess knowledge), then Fischer would win 11 1/2 to 09 1/2, and would exclaim that he didn't play his hardest in the beginning when he dropped the third game with the White Pieces!!!
If they played in 1985 (1985 chess knowledge, both having used modern computer databases for much more information and available games for study), then Fischer would win 12 1/2 to 8 1/2, claiming 3 of the games were played before and would quote games exactly; move by move, complete with the written analysis and his additions he analyzed during those games. Kasparov would become a citizen of France!
