The sicilian is full of deep, sharp lines that can be played and the keres is one of the most challenging. I don't know just a
whole lot about it myself but i know it sets up a very strong kingside attack for white, and is especially effective if black castles
kingside. It uses whites kingside pawns as the main attackers and some key sacrifices, like you mentioned, to open a hole in
black's defense. I've only seen it a couple of times, it takes a lot for white to take advantage of his positional gains, and
because of the pawn movement white should almost always castle queenside as black should try to do if you are defending
against keres. I know thats not a lot but i hope it helps.
