Meghan will be spending the day at home in Santa Barbara with the children as it’s Archie’s birthday.

In the US, the TV ratings will be through the blasted roof.
Ain't too many people that ever saw a coronation before.

My wife and her sister are really looking forward to it but I couldn’t care less tbh. I was glued to the TV for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral as I felt the significance of her passing was of more relevance to me than Charles’ commencement. I felt a connection with Liz which I just don’t have with Charles, despite having met him briefly twice.

Just musing on the above:

I wonder if one can be a Monarchist but not a Royalist? I am a supporter of the Monarchy as a constitutional heritage thing. but I find the Royal Family themselves a big turn off. Except for QE ll who I did respect.

They don't come but once in a blue moon. The Brits sure know how to put on a pageant. All those horsemen in red coats and busbies -- what a show !

You make a very good point. The concept of Monarchy is important for what it prevents, ie a very dodgy political 'elected' head of state. But the now QEII has gone most of the rest are not very inspiring.

My clearest memory of meeting him is that he used to bogart the joint. I said to him, come on Charles, pass the dutchie on the lefthand side. Three members of Musical Youth were there. The rest is history.
