When His Royal Highness King Windbag, Master of the Cut & Paste, Moral Protector of the Realm, spoke to you last time, he asked you all, whatever your religion (as long as it is His), to pray for Him on the day of His Coronation.

Throughout this memorable day He has been uplifted and sustained by the knowledge that your thoughts and prayers were with Him. He has been aware all the time that His RHP peoples, spread far and wide throughout every continent and ocean in the world but united in chess and adoration for Him, were united to support Him in the task to which He has now been dedicated with such solemnity.

Many thousands of you came to the General Forum from all parts of the Cut & Paste Commonwealth and the Windbag Empire to join in the ceremony, but He has been conscious too of the millions of others who have shared in it by means of PMs in their homes. All of you, near or far, have been united in one purpose. It is hard for Him to find words in which to tell you of the strength which this knowledge has given Him. But fear not, for He is definitely able to cut and paste a lot when in lack of words.

The ceremonies you are seeing today are ancient, and some of their origins are veiled in the mists of the past. But their spirit and their meaning shine through the ages never, perhaps, more brightly than now. He has in sincerity pledged Himself to your service, as so many of you are pledged to His. Throughout all His life and with all His greasy, fat heart He shall strive to be worthy of your trust by spamming these forums with endless, sanctimonious and passive aggressive copy pasting.

There is also this. He has behind Him not only the splendid traditions and the annals of more than a thousand years but the living strength and majesty of the Cut & Paste Commonwealth and the Trolling, Windbag Empire; of societies old and new; of lands and races different in history and origins but all, by god's Will, united in spirit and in aim.

Therefore He is sure that this, His Coronation, is not the symbol of a power and a splendour that are gone but a declaration of our hopes for the future, and for the years He may, by god's grace and mercy, be given to reign and serve you as ultimate judge of what is good and what is bad in this forum and others to come.

May the Boston Lard bless you all. All hail King Windbag!

It's best to just tackle people on the specifics of what they say - as we all go along - and hold them responsible for it, I reckon. This kind of broad brush and rather lumpen 'objection' isn't especially interesting and may strike some as being just as sanctimonious as the sanctimoniousness that you appear to take exception to.

You keep it up with your style and I keep it up with mine. You sound
preachy and sanctimonious, precisely, riding nonchalantly on a high
horse, when recommending what you perceive as your style (using
praising terms for it, mind you), as opposed to mine which (oh my gosh!)
you even use the term lumpen to describe. Does that mean the opposite
(again, yours) is not economic and socially dispossessed but, instead,
    royal or at least bourgeoisie?

I think King Windbag not only tolerates but actually enjoys sparring with
you because you both seem to share an inner conviction of the blueness
of your bloods, at some level, in some alternative universe.

Great Big Stees, every mother's son and daughter on this website lives out their unique lives "in some alternative universe".
Imagine the incredibly boring alternative if all of us were cookie cutter the same sans cultural and personality differences.

There's a saying in Spanish that goes the lion thinks everybody
    shares its condition.

So, no, I am a run of the mill human with nothing special, just like the
drunkard in the corner of my block house or Queen Elizabeth; mortal
and flawed, such is my view on humans and humanity. But thanks for
providing an insight into your own soul. I am sure King Windbag is taking
notes and will use it against you at some point.

As you are well aware this is the internet and like some here there are alter egos, not all but certainly some. I am here for some fun and some, though little, chess. I am more a monkey in a barrel than a lion. I care not who says or does what to me here...I just laugh because I know.
