Lanterns

What's the proper name for those lanterns that are like mini-hot air balloons? The ones that are home made, lit and released to fly away on a gentle mid-summer evening breeze.

I typed "Lantern release" into youtube and got a video of what I'm after, apparently called Kongming Lanterns / Sky Lanterns.

I believe they are sky lanterns.
