When I make a New Year's resolution I do so as "long term" resolutions, not giving them a year to be done. One year probably 30 years ago I resolved to make, from scratch, a cedar strip canoe...almost done. Maybe another two years or so. 🤔

Impressive! Now there is commitment at the highest level. Do you find it relaxing?

I know many people who work with wood or carve say they find it very relaxing and can go off in their on little world.

I saw an article in a canoe magazine saying that you (apparently not me) could build it, from scratch, in 72 hours. I must have read it as 72 years. Kidding aside, I was pretty much 80% done in a year then "life" to a hold of me and it was placed on the back burner.

Do you find it to be relaxing? Life is like that we plan things then life gets in the way, and tells us what we are really going to do! 😉

I promised to set up my own business and did. It isn't running so well as imagined however.
