alrighty-there is the Gibson/Epiphone les paul guitar, and "les paul's" birthday is recorded in the Total Guitar calander-but who was he? cuase i don't think they had electric guitars in 1915 or 1935 (when he was 20 😛). did he, like, start gibson or something? or switch to electic guitar from accoustic when it came along? 😕 or was he a really famous folk guitarist whome i've never heard of?...

But, essentially, he was (still is?) a jazz guitarist who was one of the first to develop (if not invent) the electric guitar and one of the first to use it extensively.
Actually, it may be the solid body electric guitar that he invented, which helped to reduce feedback.
