It's okay. The reason I didn't use the internet is because I couldn't care less who Allan Ladd is, but as stoker suggested Allan Ladd is responsible for me knowing what a Bowie knife is, I thought it would be a good way of making my point by saying "who????".

If Ladd made the Bowie Knife famous then why did the Master Knife Smith James Black have demands for a knife "like Bowie's"? Black made the Bowie Knife in 1831?
