actually, I've been quite surprised that eminem actually has something to give. but mainly I listen to the oldies, nwa, public enemy, beastie boys. none of the new ones with shiny cars and booty shaking really appeals to me. common.

generally the US doesn't seem to have anything to offer, it's always the same tired crap. well, at least in the mainstream, I'm sure there's loads of interesting stuff on the grass roots level. but you never hear any of it.

where are the american 'asas', you know, the musically interesting stuff?

hey, good song... but there are better ones 🙂

Like wormy says, main stream garbage is just that...garbage... the best stuff is
underground. Even wayne's best music is underground. His mixtapes make him huge
in america, not his albums.

My favorite - written for michael phelps personal training
(you see him with his ipod
non stop... he calls wayne "ego boost music"😉

And in Reserve:

There are a couple other songs that are right there along with these like "Drop the World" featuring Eminem.. The mainstream song "Forever" is great, once again
featuring eminem, along with kanye west and Drake. You really have to pay attention
to some of wayne's lyrics in these songs... he has a way of saying some tricky things
🙂 Take "Politics" - the very anti-american riddim, or "Ready for the World" where
wayne projects himself as a catalytic figure of "Armageddon"

We are in a bad period. It's like the 70's again except with rap and pop. Hopefully the wealth of terrible music will force new and better talents to reach the mainstream.

I disagree 🙂

I think Rap will be around awhile. I think wayne is probably going to redefine what
rap talent is.. 🙂

White guys talking about rap is hilarious.
You do know that black people laugh at you?

I've known a lot of black people in my life (I'm white) and I always ask them what they think of white boys trying to act black.

They are actually against it. Now I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule blah blah...
