What is the appropriate use of a chair if the whip should fail?

Put it, quickly, on the ground, extricate the sirloin tip roast of beef you have in your back pocket placing it on the seat part and run like hell for the cage door. Under no circumstances make eye contact with the beast.

I'd say your days would be numbered! 😉 You could be on your last one if that were to happen.

The chair is to enable the lion to sit down for dinner.

The trick is to keep a straight face and not make any sudden moves 😛

Once saw a breakfast bar stool being used to fend off a tiny rescue dog. It seemed to grow in size after baring it’s teeth.

When I bare my teeth the only thing that grows, like when I smile, are the number of "Crow's Feet" around my eyes. 😛

Ok a nicer way to put it, but still means one is aging! 😉

Obviously, the chair is for 1) encouraging the lion to keep its distance and 2) to shove down its throat, keeping it from being able to close its mouth on you when it tries to eat you.

Well, I was referring to the classic wooden kitchen-type chair one used to see "lion tamers" wield.
