I think I'm here to stay for Correspondence chess, but how do other sites compare in live chess games? In terms of Interface, cost, and community.

I haven't shopped around but chess.com is good for blitz (live chess)
Choose your time control and go. Plenty of opponents too.

FICS is probably the industry standard for live chess of all chess time controls, not just blitz.

So, it's free.* And you can use any interface you can find on the web (and there's plenty).


* I haven't been on there in a while, so not sure if there are pricing options.
