I think I'm here to stay for Correspondence chess, but how do other sites compare in live chess games? In terms of Interface, cost, and community.
    Thanks in advance.😵

FICS is probably the industry standard for live chess of all chess time controls, not just blitz.

    Free Internet Chess Server

So, it's free.* And you can use any interface you can find on the web (and there's plenty).

    * I haven't been on there in a while, so not sure if there are pricing options.
