Lobsters are for people who aren't used to eating seafood.

I once ate at the "5 fishermen" in Halifax in Nova Scotia - as many mussels as you could eat and fantastic Lobster - as for oysters - I was sick as a dog after them once - never again!

Scallops make me think of engorged water chestnuts.

Are you implying it's safer to eat raw than cooked?

depends on who is doing the cooking. 😛 In some cases yes, you sure would be better eating them right out of their shell.

I don't like the way some of the food joints prepare the oysters, the cooks (chefs) ruin them!!

Then the tourists come in looking for some fresh seafood and are disappointed and say the seafood sucked...Odds are it was the way it was cooked.

OF course he didn't say that he ate the oysters at the 5 Fisherman, only that he had ate them once!

Personally I have never ate at the 5 fisherman, but it does have a good name, last I heard...Again it has to do with who is doing the cooking. 😉

Starting to understand...you have the best seafood in the world, but your cooks ruin it. Why haven't I ever seen "Live Nova Scotian Lobster" on any menus?

Where have you been in Nova Scotia?

Listen there not my cooks. 😛 But yea in some cases the Cooks don't know what they are doing. You would find most places in Nova Scotia, certainly know how to cook there seafood, don't jump to conclusions.
