erm...the internet? 😉
traintimesonline.co.uk
Then follow the links to the national rail service. You should find it easy enough. I randomly typed in some dates at the end of march to go from Glasgow to London and it worked ok. For places to stay cheaply, go to a bookstore and check in a 'rough guide' travel book for the UK. Or 'lonely planet' whichever you prefer. They'll have the best cheap ones in there, that reviewers will have actually stayed at.
Have fun!

alrighty-me, jacko (although he doesn't know it yet) and antoehr of my friends are comming to london for a concert at the end of june. anyone know the best (and chesapest) places to eat, drink and -erm- sleep?
and does anyone know where we can get details of hotels and train times?
The cheapest way to stay over in London is to stay out all night, for a one off this is quite easy to do in London. If you want a room, well it depends on where youi concert is. There are plenty of motel based places (like fomule1) for about £50 a night aroung the north circular that are cleanish.
If not roll the dice and see what you get 😉

Though not for luxury travel, it sounds about right in spirit for a bohemian concert trip! 😀
