You've got me beat... 74 moves was my longest, a nasty fight with
David Tebb. I remember that King vs. King game, Maggotteer had a
link to it on the Donadoni tourny site, They must have either had a
great conversation going or hated each other and were waiting for the
other to go on vacation.

excellent game after such a disasterous start (although because of
the latest headache I've forgotten who the start was disasterous for,
you or ie).
One question though... why did you promote to a knight? Am I
missing a major problem, or were you just seeing if you could win that
way?

Surely once there are only two kings left on the board, no-one can win
the game and it must finish a draw.
It did remind of a old Benny Hill sketch I once saw though...🙂

promoted my pawn to a knight bacause it was the only way avoid the
mate...

So I had to promote to a knight to check the white king! That's my
longest game and the only time I promote to a knight... 🙂

decided on a draw. Gamenumber 112943. It was a real game which
turned out in an endgame KRB vs KR. I tried a long time to win it but
couldn't break Sshek's defense. Just before 50 moves were made
without a capture/pawnmove I stopped trying.
