When I was back in the Crimean War, we used to have sausages for dinner in the Brigadier's flat while all hoi polloi fought it out in the field, what. Always complaining about the lack of provisions and equipment they were. Damnable insolence! Fighting for their King and Country the ungrateful whelps eh. Remember once an enemy bomb landed just down the street from Brigadier's flat, shook the whole building and quite startled us all. Colonel Whittington-Smythe spilt soup all down his front. I said to him "Well old fruit, glad to see you didn't wear your best clothes what!" Oh how we laughed. Those were the days *sigh*
