Yes, how do you look at this? Cosmic?
there probably are many many more incidents like that, but we just never find out about them. people we walked by without noticing in rome 1983, and again last week in osaka, never finding out about either connection. ships passing in the night.
I have a couple of other similar stories, only slightly less improbable. I think probably most people have. I've heard many such stories myself.

Originally posted by Phlabibiteric bana said in an interview that he has a hobby of trying to get himself in the background of tourist shots, without anybody noticing. and as he's not that famous outside a certain target group, he said nobody ever notices. but his big idea is that one day, someone's grandchild or something, might look at the old photo and say: "wait a minute.. is that... grandma, is that eric bana in the background?!?" ๐

Originally posted by PhlabibitI spent 4 years in the USAF, in Nebraska. I went to parties given by Bonnie and her husband, a lot of them. So I heard they split up, she headed east and thats all I heard. So a few months later my 4 years was up, I split for Denver.

I met a girl, long story short, we got married, did our honeymoon in San Fransisco. So we got there about 11 pm, found a hotel, the clerk never said a word, just took money, gave us key. We went to the room, I had been driving for 8 hours, told her I am going to walk around just to loosen up from all that driving.
So I am wandering around, (One thing, time line: Late 60's, during the flowers in your hair San Fransisco) So I am walking down the street, I see a trolley car, a girl throwing flowers into the open windows. I get closer, closer, I scream out "BONNIE?" She screams out 'DON!?". Can you imagine the odds of that, the first person I talk to in San Fransisco turns out to be good old Bonnie! Well, that did it. I immediately got divorced and married Bonnie.
That last was a lie"๐ but the rest is a true story!

I find this true with my ex. We are constantly comparing weird moments where we were thinking the same exact thing and then send a text or email.

It's the same counter-intuitiveness as putting 23 people together in a room and having a 50% chance of at least two sharing a birthday (me and Starrman in the 20 of the PFC?). People have a poor grasp of probabilities when it involves large amounts of permutations and possibilities. When there are 6 billion people on the planet, there should be a fair amount of cases like this.

Get your priorities straight, buddy.

My wife and I ate dinner with friends, at the Outback steakhouse, we went our separate ways, Leboeuf (plays here) and Sara went home, we went to Borders bookshop. I get my magazine fix for free that way.
I find a nice comfy chair with my stack of rags, I start reading.
I see this young kid, 18ish and a young girl talking. The guy, basically hitting on the cute girl, says what is that in your ears, (he had earbuds hooked to his laptop). She answers 'I can't stand the music played in the background most places so I wear earplugs'. I perk up at that, I do exactly the same. I pulled out earplugs, we have a good laugh.
So he is talking to the girl, he mentions going to school in Jerusalem. I heard that, said my kids went to school in Jerusalem. He goes, what school? I said the Anglican International School. His mouth drops open, he said "That's where I went! It turned out his older brother was there also, called him over, we got to talking about the Anglican International, I had twins in school there almost in the exact same grade as the young kid. So it turned out they both knew a lot of the same people like the Abadiu's, whom we were friends with, owned a Palestinian tourist bus company, they were also friends with them, and they had the same set of friends my son Kevin did, who graduated for HS there.
We got to talking, all of us amazed, the girl was like watching an impromptu anthropological experiment running before her eyes. I think it pretty much guaranteed the young kid would be getting some tonite๐
So we said we should get together, meet at our homes and such. We asked where they lived, they said "Walnutport"!! The next town over from Slatington, our town, less than a mile away. The older brother is in graduate school in Scranton Pa and comes home for weekends and the younger one is in college at Kutztown U, where our son Kevin also attended.
So how's that for co-incidences! You take the population of the US add to the population of Israel and Palestine, what are the odds of kids attending the same school in Israel ending up almost in the same town in the US 10 years later?
