What on earth is a half move and full move count?
The half-move count is the number of half-moves made since the last
capture or pawn move. If this reaches 50, the game is drawn. The full-
move count is the number of full moves made since the start of the
game. The full move counter increases by one after each move made
by black.

No. A half move is a move by either color....a full move is a move by both sides, it takes 50 of those for a game to be drawn without a pawn being moved or piece captured.
