Anyone here own a Mac mini? I'm musing about purchasing one, mostly because of the small price tag. I also want something small and relatively portable (when it's not connected to a screen), and easy to use for recording music. However, I don't know much at all about the Mac mini, so it may be a cute waste of $750.
Any users out there?

What are you planning to use it for? Just surfing/email etc or were you thinking of video editing or other heavy lifting?
Well, I'm afraid I can't vouch for the Mini, but a Hackintoshed Dell Vostro A90 would be both cheaper and portable. Lots more info here: http://mydellmini.com.
Not as easy as buying a Mac Mini, but you end up with a pretty nice OS X machine when all is said and done that you can "dock" to a KB/mouse/monitor as well as take and use on the run.
If you do settle on a real Mini, geeks.com is currently selling refurbed last gen Minis with Applecare warranties for $420. Doesn't have the cool new nVidia GPU, but it is a real Mac Mini and almost $200 cheaper than the latest model. Link: http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=MB138LLA-3R&cat=SYS

I used to be tempted to get one, but could never quite justify buying yet another machine.
