Why do people get stressed out when their cat is in a tree? All they are doing is bird hunting? Setting there waiting for a bird to land in the tree so they can pounce on it. Cats climb up and have no trouble getting down when they are ready. They might pretend they can't because they want to stay there and talk to you. But really I have never seen a cat get hurt.

We had one stuck in a tree once for several days. We'd thought she had got lost, but when we heard her we had to go up and rescue her. While generally I think you are right in this case she really was stuck.

I DO something about cats in trees. It's cruel to leave them there. I lasso them, and pull them down.
