Dave,
I sure will. I may have joined 5 tournament too many with my
90+ active games I had going. Clock are buzzing and spinning am
making me dizzy. Hate to see what I will do when one flashes red.....
Hope I'm not epileptic as was demonstrated in Armegon Strain (Did I
get the name right......It is an old movie.)

I swear when I get more than say 12 going I am just begging for
losses and draws.
I pulled out of the 14 day one..although I guess I should have stayed
in it so that maybe I could at least have a shot to put one scar in that
nonexistant loss column of yours WW..hehehe
Either that or you add another to mine! 😀
Dave
Sorry to see that, Dave. But, of course there is still your namesake
tourny where it could still happen and, as agreed before, if not there
we will have our own little private swing. 🙂
The loss column is just a matter of time for me but that doesn't mean
I will go lightly! Gotta tell you though, I nearly dropped one to
FightingBlueHen - had me dead by all rights and misplayed the
endgame. Went back to check the record and several of the top
players have dropped one to this mysterious 1500+ person. Hard
competitor! We'll just have to see what happens in the return match...

Us MAP people must have a screw loose somewhere. I'm finding it
virtually impossible to play tidy chess with all these games underway.
I'd love to see more MAPsters up around 1600 (looooots of respect for
dcpk) but around 30 seconds thought per move makes it very hard
indeed.
I wonder sometimes how high the MAP people could reach if they took
more time and care, especially Andrew and John.
But that's not the point to being on the MAP ladder. Given the choice,
make lots of moves against lots of different people and enjoy it in
this manner, or alternatively try one's utmost to win and and work
through variations etc and enjoy it in that way, well, the former will be
preferred every time by MAP bods.
Final point...Fernando sac'd a knight midway through my most recent
game with him (I thought I had a solid French defense thing going
on...yeah right!) and it just ripped my position to shreds. Wouldn't
have spotted it in a million years. Made me realise why I love chess.
So, wW, I can assure you that any admiration you may have for the
MAP people is more than matched by the admiration (amazement?!)
of some of the moves and combinations you lot on the other ladder
pull off.

I have always been impressed by the MAP guys and have said so
many a time...as for fernando pulling off a knight sac..you should see
what he is doing to me in our game!! He is one of the toughest on
here.
I pull the occasional brillancy here and there...but the games of
preciseness that I work a singular pawn or theoretical advantage to a
winning position are the ones I am most proud of.
Dave
I can't speak for Andrew. But I for one try to win my games. I will not
lose any sleep over one even though I say I have. Ok! Ok! I did
dream of beating T-1000 once. For now I will let the Chessmasters
rule the Rating Table. I found my niche.
