Interesting interview here with GM Mark Taimanov, after whom several opening variations have been named - eg in the Sicilian. As well as being a great chess player, Taimanov and his first wife have been counted among the 20th C's best 100 concert pianists...

Hey, thats a great article, gives some insite into his loss of 0-6
to Fischer in '71. That loss cost him his living for two years in the
Soviet Union, great way to treat such a genius.

I own his book, Taimanov's Selected Games, and have found it to be excellent.
