-Removed-Same to you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. Its about 2 pm down here in the islands and I had a few good drinks for the morning. We are going to have a very untypical lunch for the Caribbean... English Roast - roast beef, yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and vegetables. .. good stuff.
Merry Christmas to everyone. I already made my rounds and right now I'm sitting at the vet with a foster dog and they're telling me it might be 2-4 hrs before we get seen. He only has an abcess on his neck and it chose today to break open, so will probably just leave with antibiotics. At least they're playing The Polar Express in the lobby and they have coffee, so it could be way worse.
@Suzianne saidPoor thing.

Hope Boxing day brings you plenty of tranquillity and good food.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidYes, considering everything, I'm very lucky.

Time to pick up my exercise program a bit.
Update on my foster dog, Charlie.
The vet was sure it was a cyst and I agreed to let them biopsy it and send it to a lab to see what we are dealing with. She came back in and said, "Guess what? You were right, it was an abscess!" So she expressed out all the pus and junk, and put a little honey in the opening, to help it stay clean (honey has antibiotic properties and is naturally sterile) and covered it with a wrap and gave me antibiotics and some pain meds. He's sleeping now (he had a rough day). He'll be fine for an older guy (15 years old).
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I hope the same for a Happy New Year. Since they both fall in the middle of the week this year, no joy on the Eves, so I'll end up spending New Year's Day with a bunch of guys probably watching football and NOT ruining everything by making stupid resolutions.
@Suzianne saidResolutions are silly.

I resolve not to make any.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidI once looked over my list of New Year’s resolutions over over the years (yes I 2rote them down, my memory is well…bad). At that time I made a decision to, like my approach to the “rules” in the WWGs, not to read them, ever again. Guess what? My memory came back in spades.👍🤔😲
