I always start my games with a ‘Hi How are you?’ or a ‘Good luck’ but the number of people that can’t be bothered to reply is incredible. If you don’t want to talk, and I agree a lot don’t, then say so, but have the decency to reply.
Why is it that some players refuse to say hello etc when you send them a message?
In my eyes I find this extreemly rude!!
If people dont want to talk during gameplay it should be written in their profile.
I have often started friendly games and then resigned from them because I have had no response from the opponent. Why should I play such rude people?
Is it that hard to say ‘Hello’ back? Very often the conversation peters out after a couple of moves, but that’s ok. I don’t mind that. At least your opponent has acknowledged that you exist..
I always chat during games. I don't even care if I don't get an answer...I'll just keep on PMing my opponent.
Like I need a reason or an answer??? pffft...
The funniest thing was my brother. I was PMing him and he wasn't answering. So after about 10 moves (which takes about 2 months) I phoned him and I said: "Yo Bro. Why the hell are you not answering my PMs?"
To which he replied: "What the hell is a PM?"

I woudl rec that
First few games I played on RHP, I didn't even notice the messaging feature to send during the game. My opponents were sending me messages between moves and I did not even see them and just made my moves.
It was only after noticing this feature that I looked back in my message history and saw all these messages saying, "Good luck!" and "Hi, how are you?" which I unintentionally ignored. 😕
