Nothing really. I just have to (a) memorize the rules, and (b) realize that I will never
speak like it, though it may come in handy when reading serious texts.

If I read my notes I understand everything, its logic, and its purpose. It's just that
I am going through the same phase as when I was learning the main 12 cases.

Too much data for my head.

so the partitiivi is giving you trouble, not the passiivin 2. partisiippi?

but yeah, the only way to get from knowing the logic to it coming fluently, is practice, practice, practice. repeat, repeat, repeat. exactly like in chess. simply 'knowing' something isn't enough, you need to repeat it until you get it into your pattern recognition. until you can't get it wrong.

oh, and 12+1 cases? you're missing one.

Yeah, you're right b... b... but, have you seen my chess rating? Lulz 😛

Yup re: cases. I always ignore akkusatiivi because it is basically the same as
genetiivi... to my ear, at least.

...

Re: partitiivi and the cases, tell me something: wouldn't it be easier if the Ministry of
Culture organizes some articles and some prepositions to be included in the rules?
hehe 🙂

I've been thinking of sending a letter to the government regarding this issue.
The title would be "Tiedän että asiat eivat muuttuu paremmiksi suremalla... mutta"
