then you can be timed out with no regrets

How is it possible to be “friends” with someone and they not know what is happening in your life.

I notice that some people arrange for a friend or relative to leave a message on their profile page after they have gone. I came across one example where the relative also left contact details and they seemed comforted hearing from somebody from their father's virtual chess world. I guess that's a matter for personal choice.

If it were myself I’d tell my most trusted RHP friend if I had a serious illness, giving them permission of what to say to whom upon my absence after an agreed time.
