It's that time of year again.

AL:

East- Yankees
Central - Tigers
West - Angels

WC - Texas, Boston

NL:

East - Philly
Central - Cincinnati (I dunno, just got a feeling)
West- San Fran

WC - Miami, Washington

ALCS - Angels vs. Yankees
NLCS - Philly vs. Miami*

WS - Angels over Philly

* I'm assuming the same rule about not being allowed to play your division opponent until the LCS is still in effect (hence, Philly and Miami can't meet in the NLDS) I'm not even sure if that rule still applies.

Wow, going out on a limb picking two small market teams in Washington and the Reds?

The Reds just gave Joey Votto a huge contract over the next ten years. I think it is well over $200 million over 10 years. Pretty surprising for a small market team. I just wonder how he is going to pitch and catch at the same time. Then when he is batting, perhaps they will give him a "ghost man" so he can hit himself in. 😛

Seriously though, I think the Reds are giving it their best shot this year. Unfortunately, they just paid their closer something like 8 million for one year and it turms out he will be out for the year. Not a very good omen.

As for Washington, what are ya think'in sh76?

I can't believe you did not pick your Yankees to win it all this year, granted, the rest of your picks seem pretty sound since they are all large market teams. As for myself, I fully expect the Yankees to take it all.....again, this year.

Yes, the wild cards play a one game play-in game for the right to advance to the division series.

I'd say your crystal ball is particularly likely to be inaccurate since you have Texas winning both the west and the WC and you have the Angels winning the WS without making the playoffs. 😉

Only half correct. He refers to them as LA once and then continues with them labeled as Angels.

I meant to have the Angels win the AL west. (I wanted to write city name and I could not figure out what the appropriate shorthand for the Los Angeles Angels of Anehiem should be so I ended writing it a different way each time)

My prediction is the Yankees vs. the Cardinals in the World Series and the Yankees win it all. They are long overdue in Yankee time.

Everything else is just fluff.

I dunno how you guys can watch baseball, its as tedious as snooker, but not quite as
bad as golf. I guess its an acquired taste.
