And I didn't know that under-garments could be artistic...

No, I'm not even going to grace this thread with a further reply. My comments can be found on the "forum issues" forum.
Originally posted by fawcr01The worst are the ones who are constantly bransdishing their phones at the ballpark. I'm trying to watch a nice baseball game, and the bozo to my right has his cell phone out every few minutes, looking for an update as to whether his friends have seen him on TV yet. Nevermind the fact that we're sitting in the cheap seats out in right field. And once he has confirmation from home that the camera is on him, well, this is his moment to shine. So he gets up from his seat and starts waving his arms like an idiot. What is he expecting the people watching the game to do? Wave back at him? The two or three friends he has that are watching will say, "Hey lookit, it's Frank!" Everyone else will just laugh at the moron with his arms in the air who thinks being on TV is like, the coolest thing ever. Or they won't even notice him, since there is a frickin' baseball game going on.

Rumor has it that ESPN's Peter Gammons was at a Red Sox game with one of these cell phone-weilding twits sitting right next to him. They were sitting in the area behind home plate, but well off-center of it. After a few innings of Cell Phone Boy checking in with his friends and waving at the imaginary camera, Gammons lost it. He said something to the effect of "Look, they can't see you, we're nowhere near where the centerfield camera is pointing. And even if we were in sight of the camera, I didn't come to this game to see your arm waving in my face every six minutes. I came to watch THEM play. No one but you cares if you get on TV. So put the damn phone away, shut up, and enjoy the game."
There are still too many idiots on the road, cell phone on ear,one hand on the wheel. I am glad to see that many states are finally cracking down on these inconsiderate morons. After that,I wish they would crack down on bicyclists who ride their bikes on public sidewalks, instead of in the streets where they belong.
Originally posted by sundown316i've even read that some people get fake phones just so that they can make it look like they are talking on a cell phone. i don't know if it is that common anymore, but when cells first started becoming a bit popular, that's when i recall reading the article - later 80s i think.
