Who are the moderators, anyway?

Does anyone besides Chrismo and Russ even know who they all are?

I'm not sure who they all are. I am one and Dave is. I'm pretty
conservative. I don't appreciate vulgar language and threats. That's
what concern me with AttilaChess. He was out of contro and attacking
everyone, while using threats and terrible language. Doug

I am also NOW a moderator. I am a bit more offending than my
counterpart DOUG, But I sure as heck didnt let that slip through. I
twas probably one of OCEANS many identities.

LOL Congratulations Jason! I still let some things through that I may
not like, but never would let through what Oceans said! Doug

I agree with you.

RHP is an international community with a large variety of ages and
cultures represented. It's made up of mostly real great people, but
unfortunately an occasional person will discover the site and attempt
to create controversy, or play silly games to get attention.

It's happened before, it's going on right now, and unfortunately it will
happen in the future.

If they are ignored long enough, they will go away. Ignoring them is
the hard part. Moderators can hopefully be part of the solution.

In case anyone is interested, I played one game with AttilaChess a
few days before the tournament started, and here is an exact
transcript of the dialog that we had during the game. It's difficult to
believe this is the same person that is currently on center-stage. But
I also have seen some of his forum posts, so it is definitely
strange... He accepted an open invite created by me, with AttilaChess
playing white:

1 White Thanks!! 🙂
1 Black No problem. Where are you located? I'm in Wyoming (US)
2 White I'm in Albuquerque, NM USA
2 Black Been through there a few times... Nice place! Are you signed
up for the tournament?
3 White Yes, sir! I sure am! 🙂

6 Black just saw in the forum where they have you down as playing
for the ROW team. Is that correct?
7 White The ROW team? I don't really follow the forum. What's the
ROW team?
7 Black Rest of the World If you intended to play for the USA team,
you probably need to let them know.

8 Black It's set up for two teams, the USA team against the rest of
the world, with Schliemann as captain of the US team and Sintubin as
captain for the rest of the world.

16 White You should study Paul Morphy's games. That guy was a
GENIUS!!! He lived in the 1800s, and he could play 10 blindfolded
games simultaneously AND win them ALL! He was a chess genius even
at a young age!

thanking him for a good game.

Sure doesn't sound like the same guy. Not sure what it all means. I
only know what I read and had to delete because of the vulgar
language and threats. Makes you wonder. Thanks!

He was nice to me too..........

There is an IM named Atilla Turzo from Hungary. Also, Paul Morphy
never played against more than 8 people blindfolded!

I have been in classes with Turzo before and watched several of his
games. He seems like a great guy and I doubt this is the same
person.

I agree, enough is enough, this is spoiling what otherwise is a very
good site. The person making these posts is one very sad individual.

btw, oceanwaves is playing me as well.

If you had seen the nasty stuff he tried to post you would have known
it as well...he also brought up the PMorphy - Knightmare_NJ game with
alot of NASTY comments about Paul.

The style is exactly the same...and the comments about people
having deviant lifestyles although they do not is classic of what he was
saying before.

This person will keep hopping back in until they block his I.P.
