With my recent visiting relatives, I've been in 3 games in the past 2 days. The first was my first game for about a year, and I took it down. The second I barely got going before sitting there wondering "what the hell just happened" We are on break from the current game, but I'm about to make an 'all-in' type manuver to build on my boardwalk hoping 1 or 2 will hit it before I land on someone else's.
If there is only one chance card left on the table, I can tell you what it is by remembering which ones have gone by. Still homing those skills for community chest, because for some reason I just can't do it as well on that one. I also have basically all the face values memorized and many of the rents.
Anyone else play this game? It is of course the second best board game in the world.

Just blundered away a game. Had a mere 5 properties. One monopoly on the magenta area and 2 oranges. Getting a quick jump, the money was coming in quickly. I offered multiple times to buy that third orange from a girl in danger. She could have taken a huge cash amount and made some much-needed improvements on her other properties. Instead she declined time and time again and she busted just before me.
That wasn't my blunder though, that was her's. I knew I messed up when I let my old man go bankrupt to my sister. Had I given him a grand or so for his light-blues at that moment, bailing him out and giving him some nice cash to make a possible comeback, she wouldn't have been able to build the empire that quickly surpassed me stuck at 5 properties and just 3 hotels.
