I was out witted by my missus! She requested some new clothes from Monsoon for Christams, not exactly cheap! So I rendered my hard earned cash for the occasion and gave her what she wanted. THEN the sales came!!! The matching bag, scarf and overcoat (300 quids worth) were in the sales... half price! (as you would expect!) So I obliged! Then I saw the sales label. Sticker on it! Original price (coat) 400 quid. reduced 200, then 170. OK I thought. When we got home I removed the label. Original price underneath was 200. They reduced it by 30 quid. Bstds. N my missus did me twice for obliging! She knew.............. Have you been done the same?
In the UK there's a law saying that the sale item has to have been for sale at the previous stated price for a certain length of time before they can claim them to have been reduced from it. [50 days or 100 days or something like that, I think] I would telephone them and demand a refund of the difference.
