I read somewhere that if industry had used bromofluorocarbons instead (bromine is chemically very similar to chlorine), the ozone layer would have disappeared across the entire Northern hemisphere by the mid-70s 😲

Didn't CFCs used to be used in fridges?

Yes and in furniture too.

Bush's failure to enact upon Kyoto, and his subsequent moves to block moves away from fossil based fuels could well lead to him being judged to be one of the greatest criminals in human history. He is happy to say he will not appease 3rd world dictators while he knowingly allows American Industry to suffacte the planet.
