i think the english fans really should avoid looking for a scapegoat in Ronaldo. Instead they should address/examine/acknowledge the following
1) why Sven was so foolish in his tactics and squad selection. Why did he not admit that he simply got it horribly wrong. And why was he paid so much in the new contract he obtained when he hadn't achieved anything of note to date. Acknowledge a good club manager in a 'foreign' league does not necessarily mean a good england manager.
2) why hasn't anything of real note been done to try and curb Rooney's temper.
3) why don't our premiership stars have the ability to perform at international level.
4) why have the footballing body of our country appointed a manager that was so heavilly entrenched in the previous dismal regime.
5) Acknowledge the fact that England, even without the Rooney sending off, would not have been favourites to win the Portugal match, let alone any encounter against the French.
6) Finally and controversially, why is this country so arrogant when it comes to sport and why are people in the FA, paid substantial amounts of money, so stupid!
