It doesn't matter, you shouldn't worry about them at all. Rec counts merely rate 2 factors:

1. How much of an insulting, racist, sarcastic a-hole and grammar-nazi you are.
2. The huge amount of time you waste haunting the forums, replying to every thread in a vain attempt to fill the souless void created by the unfortunate fact that you're a social r nd your monitor and backed up by your spell checker.

I used to have 2,500+ recs, but when I found out there were millions of poor kids in India with no recs at all, I gave the bulk of my collection away to charity. I can now sleep well at night knowing that I've made a positive contribution the the self-esteem of those poor, blighted buggers.
