Both Motorhead and Metallica are awful, but for entirely different reasons. Motorhead is cliched 80s metal, something that should have died but somehow keeps feeding off the rest of the rock world. Much the same relationship that Lemy's mole and his face have. In Britain, Motorhead fans (like Black Sabbath ones) are generally bear-faced, beer-bellied, roll-up smoking rejects with poor personal hygine and hair long enough to still have traces of LSD in it from the 70s.
Metallica are just the corporate whores who now run the brothel, I mean seriously, can't you just imagine Large Oil-rig in a Moulin Rouge style dress and beauty spot? They suck the industry hard-on like they're drinking water. And what's with a rock band drinking water? And having a therapist? I want my rock stars to bleed on stage from hitting their guitars too hard and to kill themselves before they get sh;t. Dear Mr Hetfield, please stop trying to extend your life at the expense of your creativity. Psychiatrists and good living may make you see 60, but they sure as hell won't make up for 'Nothing Else Matters'. Unending perseverance at killing yourself for your music may do. You're nothing more than a bunch of prissy pop-princesses that play distorted guitars.
So, to summarise, they're both rubbish, but if I had to choose, Motorhead offend me less.

However, I think you're wrong about Black Sabbath fans.
Black Sabbath wrote so many riff-tastic tunes, that have been ripped off by rock-metal bands ever since that they have always developed younger fans.
Hip, trendy bands often name-drop Sabbath as sources of inspiration, and both doom metal in the early 90's and some Nu-metal bands have done this.
Besides, Sabbath rock!
Especially the early stuff - Tony Iommi wrote so many memorable riffs.

Ted played ball-bustin', no-nonsense rock-n-roll to American midwestern and southern youth who didn't go to concerts for the light shows or fancy choreography....they went to hear Ted master his guitar in a way no other guitarist could, and I'll argue against anyone you can name who can come close to Ted Nugent and his guitar besides Page, Hendrix, or Van Halen.....and don't say Ingue [sic?] Malmsteen...🙄
