I think I read somewhere that about 10% of players post in the forums in an average month.
Out of those very few are vain enough to care about rec's.
Moves per rec is a useless stat.
Recs to posts may be more interesting, but even these figures don't tell us anything of value. You might think it would provide an insight into who are the popular, witty and inteligent players but actually you would get names like Katty, (who seems to be v popular) and a clutch of rec whores floating to the surface.

I object to the word "worse" but even if you do consider it to be "better" to have loads of recs and just a few moves I think you will find my ratio is better than average. This is because 90% of players do not post in the forums.
Get a life, get a subscription and play chess.
