Just got a nasty case of several worms. F00k knows where they came from but they got in nevertheless. 2 years I had my system up and running without having to do the dreaded 'Format C:'. Anyway, it's done now and I'm up and running again.
Everything is fine apart from one small problem. My bookmarks in Mozilla. I backed up my last ones. I cut and pasted them into my profile, and still they won't appear in the browser bookmarks option. What am I doing wrong?
The path I used to paste them in was C:/program files/ mozilla firefox/ defaults/ profile/ bookmarks.

You should have gone to:
Bookmarks Manage Bookmarks File Export
Then saved it somewhere. The you would have only needed to do the same again but with Import.
