Touch wood, I've never picked up a virus, despite using Outlook, IE and not updating my virus checker for 3 years on my old laptop.
When I ran adaware there were some diallers installed but they didn't seem to do anything.

everyone should use kapersky....it is great and also spy sweeper, these are the two that i use mainly, as well as ad-aware and a few others which all run automatically as i turn of the computer.

No. You haven't DETECTED a virus, which is hardly surprising given that you don't seem to care.

IE an Outlook Express will allow viruses onto your system. Full stop.
