I'm sure plenty of people appreciate her work that actually have lives, rather than living on a chess site like you over grown children, even though that's insulting the children of today.
This whole 'get a life' thing...
So if someone appreciates or gives good feedback about art, they are open-minded etc., but if they criticize, then suddenly they 'have no life' and in your mind, just hang around here to give people grief?
WARNING:
If you post in a public forum, please expect (some) negative critique.

I guess you just have to see it in person to be able to appreciate it.
I have heard the name Andy Goldsmith, but I haven't looked at his work before, I was looking into artists such as Ian Hamilton Finlay and Graham Rich, who I have been in contact with lately, so no need to look at lots of artists when it is a personal project.
The log isn't ta ...[text shortened]... site like you over grown children, even though that's insulting the children of today.
Bub obviously has talent, I just don't care for it myself. I imagine that Bub will ultimately get the tiger tatooed onto her back.
I would like to see some painted sea shells and perhaps something involving glitter glue for your next project.

Just because you didn't get all the usual false praise and social validation from your gang of nerdy 'Yes' men, it doesn't mean you have to throw a wobbly at the whole community. If you can't take the criticism then don't frickin' post links to your art here.

I said it was "okay" but childlike because it's the type of project that a child would do at summer camp. Your piece evokes no emotion or interest from me. Sorry. I can recognize the effort you put into it (and bub's work as well) and I can appreciate your use of colour, but I'm not going to pat your head like an infant and condescendingly tell you "Oh good job, Timmy! You make me so proud!" when that is obviously not the case here. I don't care if you're Joe the smelly welshman or Andy Freakin' Warhol.
This has nothing to do with who you are or what "associations" you may have. It's random people on an anonymous forum giving you the opinion which you solicited. WTF did you expect? A dissertation on the dichotomy of art and nature? If people like it, they will say so and some have. If people are inspired by it, they will say so. But if it don't mean sheet to them, they will also say so. Learn to live with that fact if you plan to continue flaunting your art on these boards, or anywhere else for that matter. The only difference is, people on the internet or in the media will tell you EXACTLY how they feel and not sugarcoat it like a fellow student, a friend or a family member.
If I'm seeking earnest criticism on my music, I will seek the opinion of those whose opinions I value and those I know who will be honest, not a bunch of people I "know" on a friggin' chess site or acquiantances who merely piss in your ear so as not to offend. And if I were to do so, I wouldn't get uppity if people told me how they felt about it. It's purely subjective, after all. If you're going to get defensive and whiny everytime someone blasts your work then your career in art will be very short and uneventful.

You are a plonker. As your Doctor, I suggest that you immediately take a bare chested, full tilt face plant into the nearest pile of gravel.

It doesnt bother me at all what people think as i do this for a living and it serves me very well and there is a huge demand for my work, if and when i stop enjoying what i do or the demand stops for my art work well then so be it.
And as for different tastes i also do other forms of art work to cater for that, its just at the moment air brushing vehicles is more lucrative.
