Forget cocaine, tobacco, RHP and McDonald's breakfast. I've found a new addiciton which can't be beat.

Since returning from Thailand, my sunburn has been slowly healing and I find myself to be peeling faster than a hooker on speed. I've discovered a simple yet fun game in the process; that is trying to peel the largest intact piece of skin off various parts of my body and then trying to break that record! So far, I have peeled slightly less than one square meter of skin off myself in about 3 days with the biggest intact piece being around 6 cm long and 2 cm high coming off my chest.

Sometimes I play for ten minutes, sometimes two hours. The sad thing is that this game won't be available for much longer and I'm having trouble pacing myself and optimising my enjoyment.

Any thoughts on this?

What does it taste like?

Buy a home solarium kit and start sleeping in it - should prolong the fun.

you might need to adjust your www.deathclock.com (topical!) though 😉

Seriously though, that was an annual game for me as a kid, as being a pasty ginger I burn in moonlight. I hate to think of the damage done, and carry factor 40 with me through each summer nowadays. 😕

Yeah have been there etc.

Get some latex, the type costume designers use, spill on yourself, all over till it feeeels umm good.

Then you can once again enjoy the titilating sensation of peeling your flesh.

Have a good one!

I used to be a lifeguard in the summer, and the Peeling Game was something I got to know pretty well. There is no way I know to combat this, except lots of lotion and such.

Or you could just burn yourself on a weekly basis...although then the whole "skin cancer" thing becomes an issue.

Tough call.

I once peeled off all my skin starting from my toes, still looked like my body too. I stuffed some styrofoam inside and had it laminated. Now I have my very own skin suit 🙂. 😛

Go run around for a while and get real sweaty . The unpeeled areas swell up like little water ballons from the sweat underneath . Then you can pop them and peel them - doubling the fun .

Do they make a good popping sound?

Depends on what you hit them with I suppose .

Hmm, I usually take something like a steak knife to them, maybe the occasional wooden spoon or kitchen appliance.

Sautee' some shallots and garlic in some olive oil then add some port wine (about 1/2 glass) simmer until reduced and it coats a spoon easily. Quickly add the delicate flakes of skin and quickly sautee' for just over a minute.

Serve with a light cracker and some spreadable cheese.
Enjoy!

Sometimes the greatest enjoyments are those which are short lived and finite in their momentum.

Enjoy it as it peels!

It really never gets old.... Here is the alternative for Darvlay to enjoy!

Use Elmers Wood glue. Spread a thin coat over your fingers, or palm of hand... forehead if you like... any large bare area. Shavix can give you more ideas about bare areas on his body, but I would prefer that was through PM's.

Anyway, let the glue dry... and peel away! I'm pretty sure this is a bit safer than to go out in the sun again and take a beating.

If you decide to use the strong superglue... try not to touch anything while it dries. Believe me, it hurts... getting our fingers apart for example...
ahem.
