It may have been posted here before, but I'll take the risk. In my current project obsession, I've been doing scads of research on all aspects of the home theater system and set-up. Found this interesting link to some highly unusual and notable speakers.
Enjoy!

Hey, how did that install work out?
As I type this, I'm listening to Ghostland Observatory's Midnight Voyage (Live 2007) from a concert they did at the Austin City Limits Music Festival that year, at a very comfortable -17.0dB, using the AVR's 7-channel enhancer mode--- and it feels like I'm sitting at the concert.
The house allows for very little bleeding, so you can't hear much from the outside unless you're next to the front room window. Can't say the same for inside the house, but no one's hear right now, so I can do what I want. Bass is spectacularly deep and full with nearly zero muddiness. Highs don't quite sparkle, but it's pretty close. Midrange area is where I picked up the biggest swing: dialogue is so much more clear now, this makes my Onkyo's sound like Kraco's. Make that second biggest swing. The power still available in this set up is enough to make me think I overdid it. I know the wife already thinks that, but I'm okay with that.
I'll definitely do it again when we move. I might add a few more whistles and bells, a few higher end gadgets into it, but the basics will remain the same.

Originally posted by divegeesterA cheap-o Energy ESW 8" for the LFE, but the mid stuff is provided by the 10" passive non-directional sub that's also in-wall. The Energy provides 200 watts and is powered, so nothing from the AVR in that regard. I really think having that non-directional passive sub really makes the difference, as far as the full spectrum goes.

I saw those Rel's and they look super sweet. Looks like they're only available in UK and Australia. Are they as good as they look on paper?
