I left so much going on travels from places to places.
Finders keepers, losers weepers.
I smile to know somebody found a guitar, or a penny black or a rare book.

I lost a mandolin in Jerusalem a few years ago, we had a music gig and were loaded with instruments, finished at midnight, people helped getting them all to the car. I myself was carrying the mandolin, a 100 year old Gibson A2 model, a great mandolin. Sigh. I put it down on the asphalt in the parking lot, black case against black asphalt, loaded the car with the rest of the stuff, went back to the hotel, next day off at Tel Aviv airport, got home 10,000 miles away and realized I didn't have said mandolin.

My buddies in Jerusalem searched local hock shops and such but it just vanished, never to be seen again by any of MY bunch in Israel.
Fortunately I had another one just as old and now that I did a bit of repair on it, sounds even better than the one I lost. You can bet I keep a better eye on it though!
