Yeah I expected a lot more from Nuggets. Warriors have no chance of getting past the 2nd round even if they win this series.

I want Memphis or San Antonio to represent the West in the Finals. I like how they both play as a team. OKC and LA are more of a one man show with complimentary pieces. GS seems kind of weak to me. I don't like pure jumpshooting teams.

Celts surprise me and come up with a big effort to stun the Knicks at MSG.

It looks like the Celtics' bench players tried provoke a fight with the Knicks' starters at the end of Game 5. Were they looking to get the Knicks' starters suspended for Game 6 or 7? 🙄

I don't know about the durations, but I agree with all the picks. OKC looks very diminished without Westbrook and the Grizzlies have an excellent chance for an upset. If Derrick Rose was playing, I'd pick the Bulls to beat the Heat but he's not walking through the door (and even if by some miracle he does the rust will just be too much).

Interestingly ESPN forecast is in almost total agreement with your picks except taking the Heat in 5.http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/page/ESPN-Forecast-Playoffs-130505/forecasting-conference-semifinals

Poor start for our prognostications. Too bad Zambonehead didn't get his licks in.

The word "our" generally includes the author. 😉

the Knicks are just not playing well right now. They have some nagging injuries and that they never got Amare back into it is going to cost them. Of the 7 games so far, the Knicks have been less than impressive in 5 of them.

I also think that Miami will lose 2 or fewer games before the finals.

I forgot all about this thread. Well, at the risk of being outed as lame by no1defrauder, I will still make my picks. Every series is at 1-1 and the Heat are only up by 2 at the moment.

Heat in 7
Knicks in 7
Warriors in 7
Grizzlies in 6

Spurs and Heat win road games to regain control in their series (until next game maybe).

Spurs over Grizzlies (experience does count).

Heat over whoever in the East.

Griz over Spurs

Heat over NY/Ind

--------------------

I am rooting for Griz and NY/Ind. The good news for Heat haters is that the Griz, Pacers, and Spurs all have the personnel to play tough defense against the Heat.
