I just received a cd-rom of the game 'LEGOCHESS'.When I want to install it,I get this error message(translated from dutch,so it might not be what you're used to see) 'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXE.NT.The systemfile is not suited(configured?) for MS-DOS- and Microsoft Windows applictions.Selectr close to close the application.'
In the blue field above the error message,it says: 16-bits Windows-subsystem

For those who can read dutch: 'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXE.NT.Het systeembestand is niet geschikt voor MS-DOS- en Microsoft Windows toepassingen.Kies sluiten om de toepassing af te sluiten.'
In het blauwe veld boven het errorbericht staat: 16-bits Windows-subsysteem

Please help,Lenny (7-year old boy) will kill me by friday,if I can't get it to work.I had allready promised him we'd play legochess......😕:'(

Not sure and someone is bound to overrule me.

But i think you are stuck. The program you are trying to run is too old and not suppported by your current OS.

BTW, what OS are you running ??

Try using the program compatability wizard. You can use this to run software for older OS versions on XP. It is probably this function that allows it to run on XP. That may be why it says XP on the box.
