You can write a message as long as you like in PM too and if you forget about the char limit it just chops the end off. Believe me, I know this 🙂

i know, its a pain in the ass sometimes. the first time i did it in the game it took nearly half the message off :'(

And the stated limit is not correct. One time I was so proud that I had managed to write exactly 2000 characters, just to find out that it gets cut off before that. 😞
