General

I've been reading books about psychology, the brain, and sociology (and one about physics) lately, and just like my feelings on frilly toothpicks, I'm for 'em!! Anyone read anything along those lines recently that they enjoyed? Also, if the title/cover are bold enough, I'll switch gears and read any fun suggestions. Even Emily Dickinson...but only if she poses nude on the cover.

I've been reading books vaguely about something vast and heterogeneous. Can you recommend me a book on that?

🙄

Nice! Just checked out the description on Wikipedia, and it looks like it's right up my nerdy alley. Thanks! 🙂

That's the first one I read in this vein! Great book. Picked it up by accident, and loved it. Very enlightening.

There's a poem by American Poet Laurate, Billy Collins,
titled... 'Taking Emily Dickinson's Clothes Off'. Also check out
his poem, 'Lanyard'. Framed, a perfect gift for Mother's Day.

Kinky. 😕 But you met the criteria, so I'm going to search for it.

That reminds me that I still haven't ordered Oliver Sacks' "Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain". Oliver Sacks is always a good read, and this even falls into my professional field.
